Education is central to the projects and programs that the Friends of the Texas Historic Commission supports. Today’s students are tomorrow’s preservationists, and making sure that there is a workforce of passionate individuals is vital to the future study of our past. The Preservation Scholars Program is a paid internship placement with the Texas Historical Commission that offers undergraduate and graduate students from underrepresented ethnic and cultural communities exposure to the wide variety of careers in historic preservation.
